$10,000 A MONTH SALARY: NFF General Secretary Sanusi Cries Out Against ‘Campaign of Calumny’

NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi (PICTURED) has cried out against the media spotlight on his monthly salary of $10,000, alleging that it is “a Campaign of Calumny” fueled by tribal, religious and selfish interests.

Eagle7 Sports Radio, the radio station of former Super Eagles captain Segun Odegbami, took a closer look at the staggering pay of the NFF chief executive this weekend.

However, Sanusi himself has taken exception to this spotlight.

“Some people have decided to fight me not for any reason, but personal and selfish interest,” the NFF chieftain declared.

“I am on contract, not on permanent and pensionable work, with the right to negotiate my wages, which I did with the NFF Board.”

Sanusi argued that his salary is personal to him while also saying that even though he is the boss of the Super Eagles coach, who is on $70,000 a month, he earns far less.

He also reeled out his CV as part of his own defence for taking home close to Eight Million Naira every month – Phd holder, CAF A licensed coach, leader of all General Secretaries in Africa, visiting lecturer ABU etc.

He warned that any person who is fighting him is “fighting God” because it is God who has decreed what everyone will be.
