Team Akinwunmi Plan To Sabotage Lagos FA Polls As Defeat Stares In Face

For outgoing Lagos FA Chairman Seyi Akinwunmi (PICTURED) and his preferred candidate Tade Azeez May 24 polls must not hold.

A sweeping defeat is staring Team Akinwunmi straight in the face.

The plot to disqualify front runners Oki Fouad Ade (Chairmanship) and Hajji Liameed Gafar (Vice Chairmanship) has already failed and now the next plot is for Electoral Committee Members sympathetic to Team Akinwunmi to withdraw before the Elections.

www.insideglasshouse.com has since learnt that 10 of the 14 delegates for next Saturday’s polls have since petitioned the NFF against any moves to scuttle the Elections, while also demanding for the football federation to be fully represented on the day.

Critics said Akinwunmi and Tade Azeez have run Eko Football aground for the past 12 years and there is now a desperate need for a change.

Failure of former Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) boss Tade Azeez to succeed Akinwunmi next Saturday will be a huge body blow to the ambition of the former NFF 1st Vice President to lead the country’s football come 2026.

Despite having a big warchest, Akinwunmi lost to Ibrahim Gusau in the 2022 Presidential polls in September.

But his camp has said the lawyer fancies his chances of getting the top post three years from now with the full support of a new Federal Government administration led by Bola Tinubu.
