Shehu Dikko Shunned For Elegbeleye To Continue As Boss Of Nigeria Professional League

www.insideglasshouse.com has learnt from very credible sources that former DG of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elebeleye, (PICTURED) will continue to head the organisers of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) despite all manner of pressures by Shehu Dikko to reclaim the position.

Former Rangers General Manager Davidson Owumi will also keep his post as Chief Executive of the NPL.

This will be a reward for the great work the duo has done to resurrect the country’s top football league after the mismanagement and massive corruption supervised by the defunct League Management Company (LMC).

The season-long mandate of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) headed by Elegbeleye will come to an end with the conclusion of the Super 6 in Lagos.

The league has under Elebeleye brought back sponsors, improved officiating and got the competition back on television, while doing so with so much transparency and integrity.
