NFF Financial Crisis Worsens After MTN Stops Super Eagles Sponsorship For Lack Of Transparency

The financial crisis that has rocked the NFF has continued unabated after giant telecommunications company MTN withdrew as sponsors of the Super Eagles.

This sponsorship deal guranteed the NFF 500 Million Naira a year.

www.insideglasshouse.com gathered that MTN will not renew a four-year sponsorship deal that covers the Super Eagles and other national teams when it runs out later this year.

The company said “lack of transparency and accountability” at the NFF forced this decision.

MTN was announced as NFF Sponsor in September 2021 amid so much fanfare.

This withdrawal now follows those of blue-chip sponsors Coca-Cola and Aiteo, who have also pulled the plug on financial lifeline to the football federation.
