Bayelsa United Won’t Return Federation Cup Trophy Over Unpaid Prize Money

Reigning Federation Cup winners Bayelsa United have said they have refused to return to the NFF the trophy they won last year because they are yet to be paid the 25 Million Naira prize money for winning the cup competition.
“We won’t return the cup until they pay us the prize money,” a club official told www.insideglasshouse.com
Bayelsa United pipped Nasarawa United on penalties to win the Federation Cup last year.
It would be recalled that Kano Pillars also complained for several years that they were not paid the prize money for the cup competition organised by the NFF.
