NFF Budget Mere 5 Million Naira To Fight Corruption

In the most ironic twist the NFF known for instituitionalised corruption have earmarked a mere five Million Naira to combat the problem.

Both past and present officials of the football federation have been under investigation by the country’s anti-corruption agencies.

Match-fixing allegations in the major leagues and rumours of bribe-taking by national team coaches have not been addressed by the NFF.

The NFF have budgeted over 1.3 Billion Naira for the New Year with salaries, personnel costs and travel taking the bulk of the expenditure.

The Amaju Pinnick-led administration, which exited in September 2022, left the current Board a debt burden of at least 1.5 Billion Naira.
