Who Replaces Non-Performing Ahmed ‘Fresh’ As NFF Technical Committee Chairman?

The race is now on for who will replace Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’  (PICTURED) as the highly influential Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee.

‘Fresh’ virtually killed the Technical Committee during the time he headed it – there were no regular meetings and the committee only came alive when it came to the appointment of coaches for the various national teams.

For the long-serving Niger FA Chairman, the committee was his passport to travel the world and also force players from an Abuja academy he has an interest in on the age-group teams.

Now Chairman of Chairmen, ‘Fresh’ has been frozen out by the new powers that be after his support for the Presidential ambition of Shehu Dikko came to nothing.

Chris Green brought glamour and significance to the NFF Technical Committee Chairmanship and now several persons are jostling to get the post.

Of great interest is that it’s President Ibrahim Gusau’s inner circle who want the top job – age-group Task Force Chairman Aminu Kurfi Balele aka Dan Arewa, Kano FA Chairman Sharif Inuwa Rabiu as well as Babagana Kalli.

Kurfi is in pole position as he served on the committee as a member during the Amaju Pinnick administration and he has now made himself relevant by what he is doing with the Task Force.
