NFF Board Meets Amid Grumblings By Top Executives Since Elections

The NFF Board led by President Ibrahim Gusau will hold their second meeting since their Election in September 2022 tomorrow in Abuja amid grumblings by senior Executives who allege they have not been carried along.

Various reports suggest that NFF 1st Vice President Felix Anyansi-Agwu and Chairman of Chairmen Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ have been “frozen out” by the new leadership because they did not support a Gusau Presidency.

Tomorrow’s meeting will most likely look at the preparations of the country’s U17 and U20 male teams as they get set for major international competitions this year.

The Super Eagles will also be engaged in a double-header against Guinea Bissau next month, which if they win both games will already qualify them to the 2023 AFCON to be played next year in Cote d’Ivoire.
