NFF Presidential Aspirant Uchegbulam To Shun Elections If Injunction Not Vacated

NFF Presidential candidate and one-time NFF 1st Vice President Amanze Uchegbulam (PICTURED) has maintained he will stay away from the Elections on Friday in Benin City should the football federation fail to vacate the injunction against it.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Elections not to go ahead as planned due to a pending case brought before it by the players union.

However, the NFF secretariat led by Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF Electoral Committee as well as former NFF President Amaju Pinnick are hell bent on going ahead with the polls.

However, Uchegbulam, who is a lawyer by profession, said he will stay away from the Elections in Benin City if the NFF failed to vacate the court order.

The long-serving Imo State FA Chairman has also listed several anomalies that have compromised the integrity of this year’s polls.

They include multiple nominations for candidates, non-payment of contributory fees by cleared candidates as well as the appointment of persons outside of the football family in both the Electoral and Appeals Election Committees.
