PFAN Writes FIFA On Why NFF Forced It To Head To Court

Nigeria’s players union has told world football governing body FIFA reasons that forced it to head to a regular court to seek justice.

In a letter dated September 25, addressed to the FIFA General Secretary and signed by former international Edema Fuludu, PFAN accused the NFF of attempting to undermine the country’s players because of their push for equal representation in both the NFF Congress and the NFF Executive Committee.

The union narrated all the processes they took before they were forced to the Federal High Court sitting Abuja to secure an injunction against the conduct of the NFF Elections fixed for September 30, 2022.

PFAN stated that the issue at hand is an internal matter involving members of the NFF.

It further reported that the union is pressing ahead with Contempt of Court against the football federation should they go ahead and hold Elections on Friday in Benin City.

It warned that it can therefore not guarantee that FIFA or CAF official will not be consumed by this charge.
