Are NFF Presidential Candidates Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, Gusau , Kwande On The Run After Shunning National TV Debate?
All four NFF Presidential candidates who were on the former NFF Executive Committee – Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, Ibrahim Gusau (PICTURED) and Suleiman Yahaya Kwande – were conspicuously missing from a much-publicised debate on Arise TV today.
The Presidential aspirants had given assurances of their presence at the debate only to give it a miss amid rumours they are all on the run from security agents.
A producer at Arise TV said the top officials could not make it on account of “unforeseen circumstances”.
Allegations of corruption have been leveled against these NFF Executives for most part of the eight years they were in charge of Nigeria Football.
Before now they have all gone underground, cutting off public appearances.
It is now left to be seen whether they will honour a meeting fixed by Sports Minister Sunday Dare on Tuesday in Abuja.
In their absence, five other aspirants took to the floor to sell their candidature to the public – Adam Mouktar Mohammed, Musa Amadu, Christian Emeruwa, Peterside Idah and David Doherty.
