Stakeholders Hail Supreme Court Judgment Against LMC

Major Stakeholders have lauded Nigeria’s highest court, the Supreme Court, for ruling against the existence of the League Management Company (LMC).

The Supreme Court in a landmark Judgment on January 28, 2022, ruled that the Nigeria Football League (NFL), which ran the country’s premier football league, is still very much in existence.

This invariably means  that the LMC has fraudulently been organizing the Nigerian top league.

A top official of the NFL, who preferred not to be named, told www.insideglasshouse.com: “This is a landmark judgement and I strongly support the position of the Supreme Court regarding the status of NFL/LMC.

“The LMC fraudulently took over the running of the league (with the incorporation of LMC) despite the existence of NFL without prior proper legal procedure to bring the life and legal status of NFL to an end.

“Besides, it is also a fact that LMC inherited some personnel of the NFL currently under its payroll. With the latest development ,the committee for the development of football in Nigeria (the Master Plan Committee) should be guided by this judgment before their final reports.”

“Shehu Dikko and his fellow co-travellers must now have to pack their bags and leave our football for good,” celebrated another Stakeholder, who has a vote in the NFF Elective Congress.

“They have done their worst for the Nigerian league!”

Another Stakeholder, who hails from the Northwest, added: “After all his lies and deceit, Shehu Dikko has come to an inglorious end.

“Nigerian football will not miss him.”
