Clubs To Run NPFL Again With Election Of Executive Board Before 2023/24 Season

The 20 Clubs of the NPFL will take full charge of their league again before the 2023/2024 season, www.insideglasshouse.com can specially report

Top officials made this disclosure during their meetings with various Stakeholders this week in Abuja.

The Clubs last ran their league in 2012, when the Victor Baribote-led NPL Board was impeached.

The NFF headed by Aminu Maigari subsequently appointed a League Management Committee, which later transformed into the now notorious League Management Company (LMC).

The LMC led by Shehu Dikko was scrapped in September 2022 and replaced by the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

The IMC will organise the new NPFL season, which kicks off this weekend with the star match between Akwa United and Bendel Insurance.
