President Tinubu Approves $1.3 Million To Pay Super Eagles Coach Peseiro

President Bola Tinubu has approved over $1.3 Million to offset the outstanding salaries of the Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro as the team get set to do Nigeria proud at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

www.insideglasshouse.com has specially gathered that this payment takes into account the start of the contract of the Portuguese coach in May 2022.

Sports Minister John Enoh has already saluted the total support President Tinubu has given for Nigeria to win a fourth AFCON title in Cote d’Ivoire.

“We have the full backing of the President and we hope we will make the best of it,” the Minister declared.

The Federal Government of Nigeria through then Sports Minister Sunday Dare had agreed to pay the salary of the coach, but that did not eventually happen and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)  were forced to pick up the bill.

It further explained why the coach is still being owed salaries running over many months.

Last year, the NFF claimed they had paid him for six months.

Peseiro was appointed Super Eagles coach on May 15, 2022, with a monthly salary of $70,000.
