Master Plan Committee Proposes 111-Delegate NFF Congress For Fairer Representation

The Master Plan Committee headed by Ibrahim Galadima to fashion out a 10-year development plan for Nigeria Football has proposed an expanded NFF Congress of 111 delegates as against the 44 members presently constituted.

This is in keeping with a Presidential directive conveyed to NFF President Amaju Pinnick this month that a more representative NFF Congress be put in place as against the 44-member structure which has 37 of them being State FA Chairmen.

A further breakdown of this 111 Congress is as follows –

State FA Chairmen 37

NPFL  20

NNL 12

NLO 12

NWFL 12

Referees 6

Coaches 6

Players Union 6

Each of these members will have 1 vote in the Congress.

The proposal also said the Members of the NFF Executive Committee as well as the General Secretary will have no voting right in the NFF General Assembly.
