Pinnick Axes ‘Disloyal’ Gusau As NFF Election Fever Catches Fire

NFF President Amaju Pinnick has dropped Zamfara FA Chairman and Chairman of Chairmen, Ibrahim Gusau, as a likely successor or his deputy for not being loyal.

Gusau was until recently the darling of Pinnick so much so that he was appointed leader of delegation to the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon in January.

Gusau has also represented the NFF President at various crucial meetings recently.

But there is now no love lost between the two men as NFF Election fever gathers momentum.

Pinnick has now opted to work more closely with LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko and so out goes Gusau and his sidekick Sharif Inuwa Ahlan.

Gusau has declared his interest to run for the NFF Presidency and the calculation for some time now is that Rivers State FA Chairman Chris Green will be his Vice President.
