Master Plan Committee Submits Final Report Today

The Master Plan Committee to design a 10-year development plan for Nigeria Football will today present its final report of findings and recommendations to Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

Officials informed www.insideglasshouse.com that the presentation was brought forward to 5pm today in Abuja because of the tight schedule of the Sports Minister.

Close watchers said the committee has proposed immediate, medium and long-term recommendations to uplift Nigeria Football in the next 10 years.

The recommendations have been described as “far-reaching”.

The Master Plan Committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima was inaugurated after several postponements on November 11, 2021, by Sports Minister Sunday Dare, who promised to ensure their recommendations are implemented.

However, the NFF led by Amaju Pinnick have expressed their reservation about the committee after suggesting that they were not well represented on it as well as that this was a direct interference of the running of football by the Government.

Pinnick in particular has complained that he has an axe to grind with several members of the committee, who will now have a personal agenda to get rid of him.
