Pinnick Dangles Qatar World Cup, WAFCON Trips To ‘Ungrateful’ FA Chairmen, Top Govt Officials

Amaju Pinnick has stepped up his campaign for a third term as NFF President even against his well- publicised declaration not to do so by now offering State FA Chairmen, who he has dismissed as “ungrateful”, and top Government officials all-expense-paid trips to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as well as the Women’s AFCON in Morocco.

Such is the desperation to hang on to power that Pinnick has reached out even to State Governors to join him on the jamboree to Qatar in November even though he masterminded the Super Eagles to miss out on the World Cup.

Close watchers told www.insideglasshouse.com that the offer of overseas trips is to the same persons he has blasted for being disloyal and unreasonable after they came together to make demands on the NFF Executive Committee recently.

“It shows how much he rates the FA Chairmen, this is simply pathetic!,” an angry official said in reaction.

“It will be very cheap of them if they fall for this gimmick and in turn don’t carry on with their mission to effect changes in the leadership of Nigeria Football.”

The NFF leadership has already said they will defy the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari for reforms in the representation in the NFF Congress and for Elections to the Executive Committee to be held in September.
