Pinnick, NFF Excos Panic After President Buhari Orders
Amaju Pinnick and his fellow NFF Executive Committee colleagues have gone into serious panic mode as soon as a letter signed by Sports Minister Sunday Dare that conveyed the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari for major reforms in Nigeria Football went public.
Pinnick has played the tough guy when he was confronted by a majority FA Chairmen on the need for a court order to be vacated so as to allow for an Emergency NFF General Assembly to be convened subsequently.
However, the Minister’s letter has now boxed he and his colleagues in a tight and uncomfortable corner as they watch power slip away from them.
After he threatened and abused some of the FA Chairmen, he has suddenly made a complete u-turn by begging them to take it easy with him and his colleagues.
It is even believed that he was the one who leaked the Minister’s letter to his friends in the media.
The reason for this may not be far from letting the world know that Government is directly interfering with the running of Nigeria Football.
Some of the top-ranked NFF Excos have also been a lot more welcoming to the FA Chairmen on the back of the Minister’s correspondence.
The FA Chairmen, who prefer to be known as “concerned FA Chairmen” and not “Rebel Chairmen”, today took the fight to move Nigeria Football forward when they paid a courtesy call on the Sports Minister in Abuja.
They will later address the media.
