PFAN: Tomorrow’s NFF Elections ‘Exercise In Futility’

The players’ union, PFAN, has insisted tomorrow’s NFF Elections is “an exercise in futility” despite an Appeal Court ruling paving for it to go ahead.

A statement by the PFAN Task Force Chairman Harrison Jalla (PICTURED, middle) said the outcome of the NFF Elections will not stand.

“The PFAN Task Force assures all that any purported election to the NFF Board on the 30th of September is an exercise in futility,” he said.

“The Task Force wishes to appeal for calm as our legal team is waiting for the proceedings of today’s Appeal Court session to properly analyse it to advise on the next line of action.

“There is nothing to really worry about as there are several options available for redress and we believe in the sanctity of the laws of the land.”

Today, the Appeal Court stayed the injunction granted the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

This has allowed for the NFF to go ahead with the Elections in Benin City tomorrow morning.
