Pinnick To Contest If No Elongation Of Tenure – Shehu Dikko

Shehu Dikko has threatened that NFF President Amaju Pinnick (PICTURED) will be back on the ballot should Congress oppose a tenure elongation and instead vote that Elections be held next month.

“Shehu has told some close to him that Pinnick will contest the Elections should the Congress insist that Elections be conducted next month,” a source informed.

Pinnick has severally declared that he will no longer be gunning for a third term in office.

However, his close ally, Shehu Dikko, has now added a caveat that should Elections still go ahead next month, the embattled NFF President could reconsider his stance and get back on the ballot.

LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko is championing a tenure elongation of the current NFF Board till January 2023.

It is most unlikely that this will sail through Congress  as the majority of the delegates will prefer Elections by the terminal date of the present administration in accordance with the NFF Statutes.
