Embattled Pinnick Stalling Again Over NFF Congress In Yenagoa

It is now becoming clearer that NFF President Amaju Pinnick will not convene an NFF Congress in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on August 13, 2022, after he himself admitted he fears he will be impeached at such a gathering.

The embattled NFF President has insisted that the football federation need to get a formal pronouncement from the Federal High Court in Yenagoa before he could call for a Congress of the NFF.

It was further gathered that he has asked NFF lawyers to write the High Court as regards the case brought against the NFF but which the litigants have since applied to withdraw.

A notice for an NFF Congress has yet to be sent out to delegates.

‘Concerned FA Chairmen’, who form the majority of the Congress, have since May 2022 demanded for a Congress to chart the way forward for Nigeria Football after the court order put a stop to the NFF AGA in Lagos in December 2021.

Next month is the terminal date of the Pinnick administration.
