Master Plan Committee Submits Much—Awaited Report Tomorrow

The committee saddled with coming up with a master plan for the development of Nigeria Football for the next 10 years will submit its report to Sport Minister Sunday Dare tomorrow.

The development plan was ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari during a visit by FIFA President  Gianni Infantino.

The report submission was slated for last week, but had to be shifted to this week owing to the Minister’s busy schedule.

The 16-person committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima was inaugurated in November 2021.

The committee’s report has short, medium and long-term targets.

NFF 1st Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi represented the NFF on the committee and the various leagues made presentations.

It is understood that the committee has boldly addressed the representation at the NFF Congress, which is skewed in favour of State FA Chairmen.

The FA Chairmen have 37 members of the 44-man Congress.
