SouthWest Wants NFF To Hold General Assembly As Soon As Possible

The SouthWest Zone has said it is looking forward to the NFF convening a General Assembly as soon as it is possible to do so.

“It was resolved that the zone supports the urgent convening of the Annual General Assembly as soon as possible in line with the NFF Statutes,” said a communiqué after the zone’s meeting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Friday.

The geo-political zone also pledged to be a cohesive force.

In attendance at the meeting were Seyi Akinwunmi (Lagos FA Chairman, NFF 1st Vice President) (PICTURED), Otunba Dele Ajayi (Ondo State), James Odeniran (Oyo State),  Bayo Olanlege (Ekiti State), Mustapha Razaq Isola (Osun State) and Tade Azeez (NRA President), among others.

The NFF Congress has not met since December 2021 on account of a court order.

However, the litigant in the court case has since applied for a “temporary suspension” of the matter, which should allow the NFF now have a General Assembly.
