Court Stops NFF Annual General Assembly

The Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has ordered the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to stage their Annual General Assembly (AGA) slated for Lagos on Friday.

This followed a ruling on an exparte application filed together with a motion on notice in suit No FHC/YNG/CS/133/2021 brought by a retired footballer and board member of Nembe City FC, Seigha Obiene.

Honourable Justice Isa H.Dashen granted the restraining order on December 10, 2021, against NFF President Amaju Pinnick, the Nigeria Football Association, Shehu Dikko (LMC Chairman), NNL Chairman, NWPL Chairperson (Aisha Falode), the Honourable Sports Minister and the Inspector General of Police.

The parties have been served the court order.

The court has fixed January, 10, 2022, to determine if this order should not be till the substantive case has been decided.

The attached court order speaks for itself on the injunctive reliefs sought by Obiene.
