PLAYERS UNION: We Don’t Divide, We Unite – Toro

Former General Secretary of the NFF, Sani Toro, has advised the arrowhead of the PFAN rival group, Chikelue Iloenyosi, that as an elder statesman he would rather unite members of the players’ union than divide them.

“We are elder statesmen and instead of us to divide you (Players Union), we will try to unite you,” Toro told Iloenyosi, who had extended an invitation to the Bauchi football technocrat to the inauguration of his faction of the players union.

Toro therefore declined to be part of the inauguration, so too former General Secretaries Musa Amadu and Fanny Amun.

LMC Chairman and NFF 2nd Vice President Shehu Dikko, who attended the event in Abuja, stressed that NFF President Amaju Pinnick personally called him to represent him.

Pinnick is widely believed to have formed the rival group to counter the growing influence of PFAN in his crazed desperation for a third term as NFF President.
