Gara Gombe blasts Pinnick For Disrespecting Super Eagles

Football Stakeholder and former Gombe Football Association Chairman Gara Gombe has blasted NFF President Amaju (PICTURED) for the arrogance with which he embarrassed the Super Eagles after their shock defeat by Central African Republic.

Gombe said Pinnick disrespected the Europe-based professionals by saying the NFF have booked them into five-star hotels.

“If you put Super Eagles players in a 5-star hotel, is it a favour or their right?” the former FA Chairman asked.

“You have to respect these players. As administrators, we must respect the players, they are the reasons we are administrators.”

He continued: “Do you remember when (Ismaila) Sambawa, the then Sports Minister, used to accommodate myself, you (Pinnick) and Barrister (Chris) Green at the Adamawa State Hotel in Wuse Zone 6 in 2005/2006?

“You said then that was the best place you stayed in Abuja.

“What is the status of Adamawa State Hotel? 3- star.

“Do you still remember when we shared money for night bus with you to Warri?

“Now you are given public money to take care of our players and because of arrogance you are opening your mouth to embarrass professional players that you gave them 5-star hotel treatment?

“You are just an opportunist.”
