Plot Thickens For Removal Of Mohammed Sanusi As NFF General Secretary

The days of NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi (PICTURED) are numbered if the whispers coming out of the Sunday Dankaro House in recent days.

NFF President Ibrahim Gusau now wants to take full charge of the football federation after his administration has stabilised since his election last September.

Sanusi’s  sack was first championed by the Sports Minister Sunday Dare after the Kebbi-born administrator took on him days leading to the NFF Elections in September.

Gusau was rumoured to have bought into the Minister’s plan to get rid of Sanusi, but it seems he backed off after Sanusi himself confronted him about such a plot.

This time though Gusau himself is fully behind replacing Sanusi, who some say his $10,000-a-month contract is already up while some others said it still has a few more months to run.

Already a successor has been found for Sanusi, who will go down as one of the longest-serving  General Sectrearies having taken office in 2015.

Under Sanusi, the NFF Secretariat has shown gross incompetence and those in the camp of the Chief Executive always get away with murder.
