The Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo, Taraba State, on Tuesday ruled that Timothy Heman Magaji is not the bonafide Chairman of the Taraba Football Association as his Election was illegal and he should therefore cease to parade himself as such.

The court further ruled that Mahmud Sanusi Mohammed is the authentic Chairman of the Taraba FA having being declared winner of the Election held on June 12, 2019.

The court therefore ordered the NFF to subsequently recognise Mahmud Sanusi Mohammed as the duly elected FA Chairman of Taraba.

The court also ordered Timothy Magaji to pay two Million Naira as general damages to Sanusi as well as return all benefits he illegally received while parading himself as Taraba FA Chairman.

Timothy Magaji is also facing a criminal charge of forgery of certificate at a magistrate court in Taraba.

It is alleged that he forged a BSC certificate (accountancy) from Taraba State University in Jalingo.
