The office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice has failed to respond to the NFF over a legal opinion as it concerns the football federation holding a General Assembly in Lagos today even after a court has yet to make a pronouncement on an injunction against such gathering.

NFF President Amaju Pinnick announced the football federation contacted the AGF for another legal opinion on their situation.

The NFF sought the opinion of the AGF office after their lawyer A.U Mustapha warned that the Congress should not take place because the Federal High Court in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has yet to make a pronouncement on an application by the litigants to discontinue the case against the NFF.

The Sports Ministry through a correspondence by the Permanent Secretary Ismaila Abubakar said the Congress should go ahead after citing various similar cases.
