Shehu Dikko, Akinwunmi, Yakmut, Elegbeleye Lobby For DG National Sports Commission

Former NFF chieftains Shehu Dikko (PICTURED) and Seyi Akinwunmi as well as Alhassan Yakmut and Gbenga Elegbeleye, who have previously held sway as Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), are all now jostling for the top post.
www.insideglasshouse.com learnt that Former Nigerian President Mohammed Buhari signed into the law the return of the NSC a day to his official handover of power to President Bola Tinubu.
The NSC will now directly supervise the running of the country’s various sports codes particularly football and so the overwhelming interest for the DG position.
Shehu Dikko, still smarting from being snubbed by NFF President Ibrahim Gusau to return to head the NPFL, has true to type been working underground for the post using his supposed links in the Vice Presidency.
Former NFF 1st Vice President Akinwunmi, who has now been reduced to a non-sstarter in the Nigeria football politics after his chosen men were routed out from the Lagos Football Association, is again counting on his closeness to some top Lagos APC chieftains to secure the post.
Another former NFF Executive Committee Member Obinna Ogba had hoped to use his contacts at the top to get the position, but that was when it looked like President Buhari would officially bring back to life the NSC long before he did.
Retired former Sports Ministry Director Ademola Are was also eyeing the post at a time.
