Strong Gusau Ally Ahlan Fights NFF President Dirty After Sack As Refs Committee Boss

It certainly promises to be a nasty Battle Royale as NFF Executive Committee Member and Kano FA Chairman Sharif Inuwa Ahlan (PICTURED) has now opted to go gun blazing against his friend and long-term ally Ibrahim Gusau, who is currently the NFF President.

Ahlan is furious he was sacked as Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee and he puts the whole blame squarely on the doorsteps of his ally Gusau.

But it is a known fact that NFF have been foot dragging for over a year on a FIFA directive that the Referees Committee be headed by a retired FIFA referee and that allowed Ahlan, an illiterate and not a retired referee, to stay put on that post.

Last week, Gusau appointed former FIFA referee Faith Irabor in place of his good friend and in compliance with FIFA orders.

It has been a decision that has been widely commended for its boldness and to get in line with the world football governing body.

Where did Gusau get the courage to do the needful?

www.insideglasshouse.com gathered the NFF President has finally got the confirmation that true to rumours, Ahlan did not vote for him in the first round of the NFF Presidential Elections last year even when the Kano FA boss was busy swearing everywhere that he did.

Ahlan, a successful Kano trader who many thought bankrolled Gusau’s campaign, will later change his story to say he voted for Gusau in the second round of the polls.

NFF President Gusau is now The King of the Castle, so both friends and foes BEWARE!
