10 Clubs Defy Club Owners To Attend NPFL Draw

At least half of the clubs who will feature in the forthcoming NPFL season were represented at Wednesday’s fixtures draw in Abuja, it can be reported.

The Club Owners had threatened the clubs will stay away from the draw because they are opposed to an abridged season.

However, it can now be reported that the Chairmen of Doma United, Enugu Rangers, Remo Stars, Akwa United, Niger Tornadoes, Shooting Stars, Dakkada nd Bendel Insurance were at the draw, while Kwara United and Bayelsa United sent representatives.

It was further gathered that the purported meeting of the clubs in Asaba same Wednesday of the draw did not hold.

The new NPFL season will kick off on January 8, 2023, on an abridged format.
