NFF Warn They Will Sanction Clubs Who Boycott Abridged NPFL Season

The NFF have threatened to sanction any club who boycott the abridged NPFL season as proposed by the IMC.

The NFF have already granted approval for the new season to be played on an abridged format so that the league calendar could soon align with that of Europe.

A top official told www.insideglasshouse.com: “The NFF own the NPFL and have made it very clear they will come down hard on any club who are not part of the abridged league when it kicks off on January 8.

“Some of those people who lost at the last NFF Elections are behind the raging debate between the IMC and the so-called Club Owners.

“They want to sabotage the system to cover up for their own incompetence when they had the opportunity to move Nigeria Football to the next level and they failed to do so.”

The NPFL Club Owners have rejected the abridged league and have announced they will not attend tomorrow’s fixtures’ draw in Abuja.
