Next NPFL Pre-Season Super Cup Offers Winners  200 Million Naira Prize Money, 8 Clubs To Feature

Top officials have informed www.insideglasshouse.com that next year’s  Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation Pre-Season Super Cup will offer 200 Million Naira to the winners and eight clubs will feature.

This new prize money is double what Shooting Stars won when they beat Enyimba 3-2 in the inaugural edition final of the competition in Lagos this past week.

It was further gathered that all four clubs for the first edition received an appearance fee of 10 Million Naira each.

The controversy over theteams to feature in the richest club competition in the country will also be a thing of the past by the next Super Cup after the sponsors agreed to expand it to feature eight clubs.

This year’s edition featured “traditional” clubs Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Enyimba and Bendel Insurance with clubs from the northern part of the country crying foul.
