Pinnick Boasts Again: I have Gusau In My Pocket

Amaju Pinnick is not one to keep a low profile even when he is no longer President of the NFF and he has continued to tell anyone who cares to listen that he is still the man pulling the strings in Nigeria Football even though Ibrahim Gusau now heads the football federation.

“I am still in charge of Nigeria Football,” he boasted.

“Gusau may be the new NFF President, but he is in my pocket.

“He calls me every day to seek for direction.”

Just hours after Gusau emerged as NFF President in Benin City in September, Pinnick informed a Whatsapp forum made up of African FA Presidents that he installed the Zamfara FA Chairman in the position and that he is his loyalist and a good team player.

Recently, Pinnick led Gusau along with General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi to visit several NFF sponsors as the football federation shop for funds to clear the staggering debts running into to three Billion Naira the former President left behind.

Both Pinnick and Gusau also met in India during the 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, where TV cameras caught both men in a very animated conversation.

Pinnick’s propaganda machine has also tried to keep the former NFF boss on the front burner as it concerns Nigeria Football.
