Litigant Asks Bayelsa Court To Annul NFF Elections

Litigant of the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State,  Seigha Obiene, has asked for the recent NFF Elections which produced Ibrahim Gusau as new NFF President to be annulled.

The motion by the litigant against the NFF

The litigant said this is because the NFF disobeyed an order by the court to not to meet as a body even after the football federation were formally notified.

The litigant had reached an agreement with ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ to discontinue the matter and that was what led to the NFF AGA in Lagos.

However, after the ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ reneged on this agreement, the litigant applied to withdraw the application for a discountinuance of the case.

The litigant further told the court that the motion to continue with this matter was served the NFF, but the football federation still went ahead to hold an Elective Congress on September 30, 2022, that saw Gusau emerged as NFF President.

He said the court should now declare the Elections as null and void and of no effect.
