Nigeria U23 Camp: Agents Pay Cash For Mediocre Players To Feature

Nigeria’s quest to play at the 2024 Olympics in Paris is in serious danger as desperate agents and clubs are outspending themselves to ensure their players play for the Nigeria U23s (PICTURED).

Allegations are rife that these agents and clubs have bribed the technical team to play their players even ahead of players that are far better than them.

Rumours are that several good players were dropped for the players of these agents and clubs.

It was further alleged that one of the coaches has even boasted he is untouchable because he has the backing of the powers that be now.

“Crazy things are happening in the team’s camp as monies have been changing hands to force players on the team,” a source lamented.

“A particular agent paid a lot of money for his player to get a prominent role in the team even though he is playing in the third league in Europe.

“All these can only work against the success of this team.”

Nigeria were forced to a 1-1 draw by home team Tanzania last weekend with reports that the team led by coach Salisu Yusuf were simply lucky not to lose that game.

The return leg will be played on Saturday in Ibadan.
