Gusau Wastes No Time In Getting His Kitchen Cabinet Fixed Up

There may be more serious issues on the front burner of Nigeria Football, but new-elected NFF President Ibrahim Gusau is a smooth operator and has wasted no time in getting the members of his inner circle or kitchen cabinet sorted out.

www.insideglasshouse.com  has previously identified the new President’s men even after one or two of them came out to challenge this.

And so it is no coincidence that they are those who have already bagged top appointments in the early days of the new administration.

This how it has played out thus far as it concerns the New President and his men –

AMINU KURFI

The Katsina FA Chairman (PICTURED middle with Yakubu Sarma left) now heads a three-man task force to ensure the country’s age-group teams are fully prepared and galvanized for international glory. This is part of his reward for standing strong with the Zamfara FA Chairman all the way to his election as the new NFF President. His full support for Gusau ended whatever was left of the Presidential ambition of another Northerner, Shehu Dikko.

YAKUBU SARMA

He was the energetic secretary of the ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ , who pushed for the Elections to go ahead as planned in Benin City last month. He worked very closely with Kurfi for the ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ as well as the eventual enthronement of Gusau. It was alleged that he collected Shehu Dikko’s $10,000 and still voted for Gusau. The Gombe FA Chairman is now the Chief of Staff to the new NFF President.

POUBENI OGUN

The Bayelsa FA Chairman failed to get on the NFF Executive Committee from the South South due to some very powerful pressures and his compensation is that the lawyer has now made his way to the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee the NPFL.  

MOHAMMED NASIRU SA’IDU

The Sokoto FA Chairman came out barking that he does not represent the NFF President, but everyone knows he is in Gusau’s inner circle and like Ogun, the administrative staff at the National Assembly will now serve on the IMC as a late addition to the list of those appointed by Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

AWALU BABA JADA

 The former Wikki Tourists strongman campaigned all the way for Gusau and he too has found himself on the IMC.

Borno FA Chairman Babagana Kalli and his Kano counter part Sharif Inuwa Ahlan should be in line for their own juicy appointments as they are also The President’s Men.
