Pinnick, Where Are Your Handover Notes To New NFF Executive Committee?
A press release from the NFF today claimed that former NFF President Amaju Pinnick (PICTURED today with Gusau right) has handed over to newly-elected President Ibrahim Gusau.
But there was nowhere in the release where it clearly reported Pinnick presented handover notes to Gusau that will contain such notables like the NFF debt profile, ongoing programmes and so on.
Both Board Members and staffers were baffled when the former President did not make any presentation to his successor.
“It’s more like Pinnick wants Gusau to keep running back to him and that is why he won’t assist him where he should,” a source said.
It is therefore yet to be made known just how empty coffers Pinnick left for his “staunchest loyalist” Gusau to inherit.
Rather it was a ceremonial handover during which Pinnick restated that as a FIFA Council Member, he still oversees Nigeria Football.
A very sober Pinnick again sought the forgiveness of those he may have offended in the eight years he was at the helm of Nigeria Football.
It is now left to be seen whether the Gusau-led Board will chart a new course or be dictated to by Pinnick, who had made the football federation his personal estate.
