Gusau-Led NFF Executive Committee Set For Inaugural Meeting

The new NFF Executive Committee led by President Ibrahim Gusau will meet tomorrow morning in Abuja for their inaugural parley after their election in Benin City on September 30, 2022.

The meeting will be hybrid, a combination of in-person and virtual one, as several Executives like Otunba Dele Ajayi and Babagana Kalli are both away in the United States of America, while there are also doubts about the availability of 1st Vice President Felix Anyansi-Agwu.

Former President Amaju Pinnick did not leave handover notes as reported by www.insideglasshouse.com and so the new Executive Committee will most likely order the Secretariat to furnish them with the NFF current debt profile, among other things, that will help them with their own plans.

The meeting will touch on the Master Plan recommendations as well as the activities of the various national teams.

The executives will be expected  to discuss the Interim Management Committee (IMC) appointed by the Sports Ministry to oversee the NPFL in place of the now defunct LMC.

The NFF only have a representative on the IMC for what is their main concern, while there is no legal basis that supports the Ministry appointing the body headed by former NSC Director General Gbenga Elegbeleye.
