Police Commissioner Withdraws Security At Seized Shehu Dikko’s House After Scuffle With ICPC Operatives

The FCT Commissioner of Police has with immediate effect withdrawn policemen standing guard at the Maitama, Abuja, home (PICTURED) of former LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko after they tried to stop operatives of anti-corruption agency ICPC from carrying out their duties.

www.insideglasshouse.com broke the news that Shehu Dikko’s house on River Benue in Maitama, Abuja, was seized last week by the Federal Government through ICPC.

This is believed to be only one of several landed properties of Shehu Dikko that have been seized.

In the advertorial published in a national newspaper in September 2019, the other properties belonging to Shehu Dikko listed include a house in Kaduna and choice underdeveloped plots of land in Abuja Central Business District.

This followed more than three years of investigations by ICPC into allegations of corruption leveled against Shehu Dikko as well as several other top NFF officials including former NFF President Amaju Pinnick, Seyi Akinwunmi, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ and Mohammed Sanusi.

Policemen at Shehu Dikko’s Abuja home tried to stop the ICPC operatives from marking it as seized, this led to a very heated confrontation before the FCT police Commisioner via phone ordered his men not to stop the anti-corruption agents from doing their work.

The Commissioner subsequently withdrew the policemen from the house with immediate effect.

ICPC has also warned Shehu Dikko not to paint out the markings it did on the property as he did three years ago when the property in question was only under investigation.

The agency said it is another crime should he do so.
