2022 NFF ELECTIONS: NFF Presidential Elections Goes Into Run-Off

Zamfara FA Chairman Ibrahim Gusau (PICTURED) and his Lagos counterpart Seyi Akinwunmi will have to go into a second ballot after both failed to meet at least 22 votes to be elected the new President of the NFF.

He scored 21 votes ahead closest rival Seyi Akinwunmi, who polled 12 votes.

He will serve a four-year term.

However, Gusau did not get more than half of the 43 delegates who voted today as stipulated by the NFF Statutes.

Shehu Dikko got six votes, while Abba Yola and Idah Peterside recorded a vote each.

Christian Emeruwa and David Doherty scored zero votes.

Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, Adam Mouktar Mohammed and Musa Amadu stepped down on the floor of the Election.
