NFF Presidential Aspirant Amanze Uchegbulam Insists He Won’t Be Part Of Elections If Order Not Vacated

NFF Presidential candidate and one-time NFF 1st Vice President Amanze Uchegbulam has formally notified the NFF he will not be part of Friday’s Elections in Benin City should they fail to vacate the court order against the polls holding on the day.

Uchegbulam, a lawyer by profession, made his position very clear in a letter he addressed to both the Chairman of the NFF Electoral Committee and the NFF General Secretary.

Uchegbulam letter to NFF

“I hereby formally bring to your notice of my intention not to participate in the NFF Elections scheduled for 30th September, 2022,” he wrote in a later dated September 26, 2022.

“In view of the fact that there is a well-publicised order from Hon Justice I.E Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja on the 15th day of September, 2022, stopping the election pending the hearing of the substantive suit.

“However, as a law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I shall make myself available and participate in the election, upon the order of the Federal High Court Abuja on the 15th September, 2022,  being vacated or set aside or issues resolved by the parties to the knowledge of the court and the public, and same communicated to the aspirants accordingly by the electoral committee.”

This week, www.insideglasshouse.com reported Uchegbulam’s position on the court order.

The update is that an NFF secretariat staffer, Patricia Osuji, refused to receive the hard copy of his letter.
