Litigant Continues Bayelsa Court Case Against NFF Congress, Injunction Also Alive

The litigant in a case brought before the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State,  has abandoned the discontinuance  of the matter and as such the injunction against the NFF Congress is still alive.

Legal counsel representing the litigant, Seigha Obiene, informed the registrar of the Federal High Court Yenagoa to that effect.

The decision to continue the case was because the NFF Congress majority better known as ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ failed to honour agreements reached for him to discontinue the matter.

The injunction in December 2021 aborted the NFF AGA in Lagos and it was not until August 2022 that the NFF could meet Against as a body based on the agreement with the aggrieved party.

“The implication of this is that the NFF Congress will be in contempt of the court should they meet as a body even without holding Elections in Benin City on Friday,” a source familiar with the case said.
