EXPOSED: All-Powerful Judge Shields Corrupt NFF Leadership
Painstaking investigations by www.insideglasshouse.com have revealed that a very powerful Judge from Kebbi State has been the man who has shielded former NFF chiefs led by Amaju Pinnick from facing justice for the monumental corruption they perpetrated during eight forgettable years at the helm of Nigeria Football.
This influential Judge has the ears of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and played a key role for Pinnick, Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ and Mohammed Sanusi to wriggle out of a corruption trial in 2019 at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
It is also understood that with NFF General Secretary Sanusi as the main link, this Judge is also the one who is working assiduously for anti-corruption ICPC to sweep under the carpet various charges brought against these NFF chieftains.
Further investigations showed that this Judge was at a time involved in one of the racket sports at national level and he has drawn further influence having also worked at the Supreme Court in a top administrative position.
The accused NFF top shots have also ran to traditional rulers, religious leaders and even security agencies in a desperate bid to evade the long arm of the law.
In the past eight years and despite the Federal Government’s spirited fight against corruption, these top officials have been accused of stealing over 30 Billion Naira meant for the development and promotion of Nigeria Football.
The stolen funds include prize monies from the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, sponsorship monies, Federal Government intervention funds as well as grants from both FIFA and CAF.
