Sacked Taraba FA Chairman Can’t Set Aside Judgment By Appeal
By the judgment of Justice Simone Amobeda, sacked Taraba FA Chairman Timothy Heman Magaji cannot remain in office by going on appeal without first setting aside the substantive judgment that he was illegally elected.
This week, the Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo, Taraba State, ruled that Mahmud Sanusi Mohammed is the bonafide Chairman of Taraba FA following his election in June 2019.
The court also ordered Timothy Magaji to pay two Million Naira as general damages to Sanusi as well as return all benefits he illegally received while parading himself as Taraba FA Chairman.
Sanusi will be sworn in and take his rightful place in the NFF Congress on account of this judgment.
