Shehu Dikko Knocks Down Gusau: You Can’t Do The Job

Ibrahim Gusau is the leading candidate for the NFF Presidential polls, but one of those contesting with him, Shehu Dikko (PICTURED with FIFA president), has been harping on the lack of capacity of the Zamfara FA Chairman to deliver as NFF President.

Shehu Dikko has in his campaign to NFF Congress members said that Gusau is not competent and lacks the requisite experience and that is why he is now vying to replace Amaju Pinnick as President.

“He has told me Gusau is not competent and lacks the charisma to be NFF President,” an FA Chairman from the South revealed.

“He said that is one of the reasons he is running to be President.

“That is what he has been telling other delegates as well.”

After all manner of speculations, Shehu Dikko finally purchased his form on Monday, four days before the deadline for the submission of nominations.

This was after he had met with Chairman of Senate Committee on Sports, Obinna Ogba, who is also an appointed Chairman of NNL and has also entered the race to be NFF 1st Vice President.

Shehu Dikko is believed to have been anointed by outgoing NFF President Pinnick to succeed him at the NFF Elections on September 30 in Benin City.

Like Shehu Dikko, Gusau also bought his nomination form on Monday.

He has adopted a strategy of secrecy, which he believes will help him take his rivals by surprise.

Both Shehu Dikko and Gusau have never seen eye-to-eye and the animosity will be worsened going into the Elections.

The LMC Chairman recently castigated Gusau and Seyi Akinwunmi for pushing for Elections this month, while he was pushing for a tenure elongation for Pinnick.

Interestingly, both rival camps are boasting they have in their possession incriminating evidence to knock out each other from the race.
