How Gusau Camp Plans To Take Out Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ In Chairman Of Chairmen Race
Niger State FA Chairman Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ (PICTURED) has picked a nomination form for the position of Chairman of Chairmen, but he faces a most daunting task to actualise his dream as the rival camp of Ibrahim Gusau is set to place a major road block to deny him.
It was the Gusau’s group that came close to cutting off ‘Fresh’ from the NFF Executive Committee at the last elections in Katsina four years ago.
And now the group insists that the Election for Chairman of Chairmen must be conducted separate from the general polls, same as the various leagues do their own Elections.
They insist that this is what is stipulated by the NFF Statutes even though this has not been complied with previously.
An Election by only the 37 FA Chairmen will put paid to the eight-year stewardship of ‘Fresh’ on the NFF Executive Committee because he does not enjoy the necessary support in the South.
