President Buhari Receives ‘Tough’ Master Plan Report To Change Nigeria Football

President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow receive the report of the Master Plan Committee, which Sports Minister Sunday Dare said has recommended “tough steps” to give Nigeria Football a new lease of life.

The event is fixed for 10am at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja.

The Master Plan Committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima (PICTURED) was inaugurated by the Sports Minister in November 2021 at the instance of President Buhari to design a 10-year development programme for Nigeria Football.

The report covered the various aspects of the national sport, from the NPFL to grassroots development, infrastructure, sponsorship and general governance.

Sports Minister Dare has described the committee’s submission as daring.

“Not many are happy with the report, but you have to take tough steps for a new lease of life (for Nigeria Football),” he said in a recent radio interview.

“To eat omelet, you have to break eggs.”
